Prof. Sara De Gieter

Sara De Gieter is an Associate Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and has been part of the WOPS research group since 2003. She obtained her PhD in Psychology in 2008. Sara teaches courses on Psychosocial Well-being in Organizations, Human Resource Management, and Evidence-based HRM. Her research focuses on employee well-being and burnout, sustainable work, and compassionate workplaces. In addition to her academic work, Sara supports individuals dealing with burnout and return-to-work questions and advises organizations. With her work, she aims to promote sustainable work environments that support healthier, thriving employees.
