Prof. Joeri Hofmans
Biography
Joeri Hofmans is Full Professor of Work and Organizational Psychology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). He obtained his PhD in Psychology from the VUB in 2007 and held a postdoctoral research position at the research group of quantitative psychology and individual differences of the University of Leuven.
His scientific work concerns the role of personality, leadership, and motivation at work with particular emphasis on within-person fluctuations and temporal dynamics. In his research, he often tries to offer novel insights through the application of new, advanced methods. Joeri teaches courses on work and organizational psychology, research methods, and evidence-based human resources management.
Next to his academic career, Joeri has been involved in several industry-funded projects and also advises organizations on issues regarding Human Resource Management and Human Resource Development. He is also co-founder of Fitme, an HR tech company specialized in the assessment and prediction of values-based culture fit.
